Haayo rabba!

If you have enjoyed watching Bend it like Bekham, you will surely enjoy listening to the few dialogues from this movie. Jasminder's mom brooding over the fact that her youngest daughter doesn't bother to cook and is always engaged in football. This movie also reminds me of Chak De India. I came across these audio and uploaded them. Here goes...

Indian bride never smiles:

Don't know how to cook daal?

Poems

My friend Hari, who already owns a blog of his own poems, started few blogs which provide translations of poems along with script, written in various regional languages which include Hindi, Bangla, Kannada, Marathi and Tamil.

Though, I can't read the script written in Tamil or Bangla; I truly enjoyed reading the explanation provided in English.

Poetry-I find hard to compose with appropriate words together and never tried far. I wish I could write awesome poems someday :)

Change please...

A couple of days ago, I was travelling in the BMTC bus. A young lady demanded the change in exchange for the ticket she bought when she reached her destination. This reminded me of a funny incident that took place during my engineering days.

We were a gang of 12 gals, who always waited for the BMTC bus near the college, in which student bus pass was allowed. There were few who never had necessity to own a pass and rarely boarded the bus since they own a vehicle. One of my friend who didn't own a pass, who looks like a school kid, gave Rs 20 for a ticket costing Rs 6 since she didn't have exact change. The bus conductor scribbled the exact change to be tendered. On the mid-way, she demanded him to return the change in rupees. The arrogant bus conductor replied to her "Ee bag nalli iro chillre ella ninge"("All that is in this bag is yours", showing the metal coins and paper notes in his bag). This made all of us giggle :D

After this incident, she tenders exact change ;-)

:(

I got this weird error when I connected my two month old iPod to my PC :(

iTunes generates this error rarely. And Windows pops out an error that The device may not function properly. Any remedy?

Invisible, at last

I was glad to see this new feature for gtalk. Guess? Invisible mode. I wondered all these years why google can't implement it, if yahoo could? Finally, happy to be "Invisible" so that the acquaintances don't pester ;-) (NOM). lol :D

OpenID

I was browsing through Yahoo! last evening after a long time. My attention was caught by unusual link to sign up for OpenID. Now, what's an OpenID? The name itself suggests that with a single account id, we can sign up any website provided that website supports the usage of OpenID. OpenID was introduced by LJ. Say you have a yahoo id, you can sign up any website with your yahoo id; provided that website supports OpenID. This is the same as we notice while commenting on blogspot blogs.

This feature has not been supported by gmail, so far. Is Yahoo! offering this feature to maintain or increase its user count?

I signed up OpenID. Did you?

Jashn-e-Bahara

I will not write a detailed description of the movie since many would have already seen it or know the history better. Jodha Akbar: reminds me of the richness, royalty and gorgeous ex Miss World, as in the movies Devdas and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. This is the first time, I've seen Hrithik as an Emporer in a royal attire. Enjoyed the music. I hear this song: Jashn-E-Bahara as someone phone rings :)

Watching this movie at Urvashi after a long time reminded me of my good old school and college days when no credit cards or online bookings were needed. How could I forget ice cream at MTR?

..and how did you like it?

Just like that!

Which one do you like: Water melon or orange? :D
